About me

Hello! My name is Lizzy and I’m a Paediatric Occupational Therapist specialising in supporting babies and young children with cerebral palsy and other neurological conditions. I qualified in 2006 and have specialised in working with children since 2008 working in both the NHS and charity sector during this time. I have completed extensive additional training since qualifying including Bobath, Sensory Integration (level 3), Therapeutic Listening as well as a wide range of webinars linked with cerebral palsy and neonatal care. I also have comprehensive skills in assessing for, setting up and monitoring specialist seating.

I work with families who may have a diagnosis, or who are starting to notice differences in their child’s development — such as movement, muscle tone, play or using their hands. Additionally, I can monitor your child’s development if they were born extremely prematurely or were born following a complex birth or pregnancy.

My approach is gentle, play-based and tailored to each child. I focus on providing early support during a critical developmental window in a way that fits naturally into your everyday routines, helping your child build skills while also supporting you as a parent.

I understand that this stage can feel uncertain or overwhelming, and my aim is to provide clear guidance, practical strategies and reassurance so you feel confident in how to support your child.

Who is Little Links OT for?

I support babies and young children (mostly 0–5 year old’s) who have:

  • A diagnosis of cerebral palsy.

  • A suspected or emerging neurological condition.

  • Been born extremely prematurely (under 29 weeks gestation) and/or who have been through a complex birth.

  • Difficulties in positioning, movement, using their hands to play or general developmental delay.

  • Differences in muscle tone (e.g. stiffness or floppiness).

  • Challenges with early self-help skills such as bathing, feeding, early dressing and undressing skills and toileting.
